Q: Where is the Parthenon located?
A: At West End Avenue and 25th Avenue, In Centennial Park, Nashville, Tennessee.

Q: Can I take pictures inside Nashville's Parthenon?
A: Photography is welcome on the Athena level inside the Parthenon. However, we do not allow photography or filming in our art galleries (the lower level).

Q: How long does it take a visitor to tour the Parthenon?
A: A typical visitor spends 40 minutes in the Parthenon. There's so much information and artwork, some visitors spend much longer!

Q: Will I have a tour guide?
A: For the most part, a visit to the Parthenon Museum is a self-guided tour. We have brochures with a floor plan that will help you tour the building. We have a wonderful Docent Staff (volunteer guides) and they talk to guests or organize a more formal tour.

Q: Can I bring a group?
A: If you have a group of 10 or more coming to the Parthenon together, you may contact our reservations staff person about scheduling a reservation for a guided tour. Docents and Parthenon staff guide these tours and they must be made seven days in advance of your visit. For ten or more, group rates are available. Please call 615-862-8431 for more information or send an e-mail.

Q: What are the common rules and regulations for visiting the Parthenon?
A: The Parthenon asks its guests to abide by typical museum rules. We do not allow food, drinks, gum, pets, backpacks or oversized bags in the building. A limited number of lockers are available free of charge. Strollers are welcome as we are completely wheel-accessible.

Q: Can I rent the Parthenon for a special event like a business meeting or a wedding reception.
A: The Parthenon is available for parties or meetings after regular business hours. Rather than a rental fee, you must join our non-profit "friends" organization, The Conservancy, at the Olympian level. To find out more about the rules and regulations for using the building, please send us an e-mail.

Q: What are the measurements of the Parthenon?
A: A page with the Parthenon's measurements can be downloaded from Teachers Tools on the Education Resources page.
