Metro to Add More GSD Curbside Recycling Subscriber Routes Following the success of a pilot curbside program in Bellevue, Metro and Earthsavers, LLC are ready to begin offering recycling subscription services in more General Services District neighborhoods of Nashville. Service is immediately available for GSD residents in the 37027 zip code of Brentwood. Routes for Antioch/Cane Ridge residents in the 37013 zip code, the 37076 zip code in Hermitage, and the 37138 zip code in Old Hickory will be added as soon as enough homes have joined the waiting list.  Sign up

Effective Tuesday, September 1st, Metro’s West Nashville recycle drop off site will move from the Charlotte Pike Wal-Mart SuperCenter parking lot to the VFW Post 1970 property at 7220 Charlotte Pike.   Click here for a list of all recycling drop-off sites.

2009-10 Brush Collection Schedule The Brush Collection Schedule is now available for July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. You can download the map for your area and sign up for email reminders.

Holiday Trash and Recycling Pickup Metro trash and recycling customers whose collection day falls on a holiday (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day or July 4th) will have trash and recycling pickup on the Saturday of that week. Residents who have questions or need further assistance should call 880-1000.

What do I do with my old television? Did you know that your "old" TV does not necessarily have to be thrown away when the TV signals changed to digital signals? You have the option to purchase a converter box which will update your analog television. If you need to dispose of your old TV set, Davidson County Residents may take TVs to East Convenience Center.

Electronics Recycling Residents of Nashville & Davidson County can take computers and monitors (limit one computer system per household/month) as well as paint, compact fluorescent light bulbs, used motor oil and more to Metro's household hazardous waste facility.

You can put the following kinds of PLASTIC into your curbside recycling cart and in the PLASTIC bins at drop off centers: YES: All plastic bottles, and all dairy containers (margarine, butter, yogurt, cottage cheese, sour cream, etc.) labeled 1 – 7. NO: No black plastic, baskets, clamshells (fast food take out), or Styrofoam.
