A Metro Nashville Tradition for Celebrating the Season!

Entry Guidelines and Rules for 2009 Ann Chapman Holiday Lights Competition

We are encouraging Nashvillians to make their Holiday Lights GREEN
with Environmental Elements including:

  • recycling themes/recycled items
  • energy conservation
  • nature themes

Entry Deadline: November 23, 2009

  1. Contest is open to all Davidson County residents.
  2. 2008 Countywide Winner is not eligible for 2009 Competition. Past District Winners are eligible for 2009 Competition.
  3. All lights must be on by 6:00 p.m. from Nov. 30 – Dec. 4 to be judged.
  4. Environmental Elements judging criteria include recycling, energy conservation and nature themes.
  5. One (1) award will be presented in each of the 35 Councilmanic districts.
  6. Five (5) regional winners
  7. One (1) overall winner

How to enter the contest

Judging will be based on the following criteria

Regional Winners will be showcased on NewsChannel5 December 7-10
Countywide Winner will be announced on NewsChannel5 on December 11
