Strategic Neighborhood Initiative
The Property Standards Division has added a new community support
program to compliment its current set of programs. The new
program is called the Strategic Neighborhood Initiative (SNI).
Under this program, neighborhood groups can identify up to
a five-block area within their neighborhood for intensive
code enforcement. This is the third in a series of community
support programs which include the Neighborhood Response
Team (NRT) inspection program and the Neighborhoods Organized
To Initiate Code Enforcement (NOTICE) program.
The areas identified for inspection can be a series of contiguous blocks or a series of different blocks within the neighborhood. This program is only available to organized neighborhood organizations. Once the inspection area has been identified, the Property Standards division will make the inspections and will provide the group with a report on the progress of the inspections.
