Stan joined Metro Internal Audit in 1990 after spending more than 20 years in the fields of Internal Auditing and Accounting with major U.S. corporations. He transferred to Purchasing in 2001.
Mr Melton graduated with honors from Georgetown College in 1965 majoring in both Accounting and Economics where he received the Senior Accounting Award for Excellence. He spent four years in the U.S Navy in governmental accounting and river warfare in Vietnam for which he became a highly decorated combat veteran.
Stan is active in the NIGP, IIA, ACFE, and AGA. He is an active member of several Veterans organizations.
