Registered Lobbyists
The lobbyist registration and disclosure ordinance requires that anyone engaged in lobbying an official in the legislative or executive branch of the Metropolitan Government must be registered with the Metropolitan Clerk as a lobbyist.
The registration requirement is applicable to any individual, corporation, or other organization or group of persons whose lobbying would directly or specifically benefit the economic, business or professional interest of that person or his/her employer. Exempt from the law are public officials performing the duties of the office, an editor or working members of the press, and persons or duly-licensed attorneys acting in a representative capacity on behalf of a client.
Annual filing fee is $25.00 for each person a lobbyist registers to represent.
