Development Activity Mapping Site
Metro GIS staff has created a new mapping site that allows users to find out what new development has been approved from 2000 to 2006 in Davidson County.
The Development Activity Mapping Site includes the following approved developments:
- Zone changes - approved at Council;
- Preliminary Planned Unit Developments (PUDs - an overlay of zoning) - approved at Council;
- Final Subdivision Plats - approved at Metro Planning Commission;
- Building Permits Valued at Over $50,000 (commercial and residential, rehab and new) - issued at Metro Codes Department.
This data is available for items approved or issued from 2000 to 2006.
To use the site -
- Agree to the rules of using the site below and enter the mapping site. Under the tab "Criteria", pick the dates that interest you - from 2000 to 2006. Still under the tab "Criteria," note that by default, all "layers" of information (see above for a partial listing) will be turned "on." You can turn layers off (and not see that data) by checking the box beside the layer. Click on "Update Map" for the map to be refreshed with the information you requested. Use the magnifying glass tool (top of the page) to zoom in on any part of the County. Once you've zoomed in to a particular area, use the information tool (top of the page - white circle with "i") to find out more information about a particular property.
- Note that the other tabs are structured similarly to the tabs on the Mapping site on Metro Planning's web page.
If you have questions about how to use these tools, contact GIS Manager Jennifer Higgs at jennifer.higgs@nashville.gov.
