METRO READY TO START SERVICES FOR DISTRICT 32

Delivery of brown and green carts to begin next week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Residents in newly annexed portions of District 32 in Antioch will begin receiving their Metro trash and recycling pickups in early February, Public Works officials said today.

Public Works’ Waste Management Division plans to begin delivering brown trash carts and green recycling carts to residents on Monday, and trash collections on the first of four new Metro waste routes will occur the week of February 5th.

By virtue of being annexed into Metro’s Urban Services District, residents in nearly 3,000 households will receive additional services, including weekly trash collection and monthly recycling collections.

Public Works has mailed postcards to the affected residents explaining when their carts will arrive and what days their trash and recycling will be collected.
