Adult Hockey Leagues

Summer League play begins May 9th, 2010

Now offering a new league for the summer session. 18 and over Open League. This league will be comprised of players of all skill levels 18 years old and older. Team rosters will be created by way of a draft. This league will play on Wednesday nights.
  • Registration will be on April 26th 6:00p - 8:00p at skate rental
  • 12 game season followed by playoffs
  • $205.00 for Davidson Co. residents, $225.00 for non-Davidson Co. residents.

Summer League registration ( A, B, Upper C, Lower C)

  • Team Registration 4/27/2010 5:00p - 6:30p ($2750.00 team fee)
  • Individual registration 4/27/2010 6:30p - 9:00p ($205.00 Davidson Co. resident / $225.00 non-Davidson Co. resident)

* Individual registrations will only be accepted if needed to fill up the league. If leagues are full all individual registrations will be placed on a referral list that will be distributed to the team captains.

Summer Leagues

  • "A" League Sunday afternoon/night league, advanced to elite level
  • "B" League Tuesday and Thursday night league, intermediate level
  • Upper C League Monday and Friday night league, advanced beginner level
  • Lower C League Sunday afternoon/night, beginner level
  • 18 and over Open League Wednesday night league

Game Format

  • 1.5 hr ice time, 7 min. warm up.
  • 3 periods 25-30 min. each with running clock or 15-17 min. stop clock.
  • 3rd period will be adjusted to end when the ice time ends.
  • Shootout if tie at end of regulation

League Rules

  • NO checking.
  • NO fighting.
  • Slapshots are allowed but must remain below the crossbar ( B and C division).
  • High shots are whistled dead with a face off outside the attack zone ( B and C division).
  • Players must be registered and may only play for the team whose roster they are on.
  • Tripping is automatic when diving or otherwise leaving the feet, regardless of contacting the puck first ( B and C divisions ).

Equipment
Helmet, gloves, and shinguards are required. Full equipment, particularly face shield, is strongly recommended.

Penalties
Minor: 2:00 min., Major: 5:00 min., Misconduct: ejected from game. Any player receiving 6:00 min. or more in one game will be ejected from the game. Fighting penalties will result in an automatic Three game suspension. Further suspensions will be determined by the Hockey League Director.

Team Roster
  • Minimum of ten skaters plus one goalie.
  • Players may not be on more than one roster per league.
  • The Sportsplex reserves the right to assign players to the appropriate league.
