COVID-19 Vaccines
Vaccines are available in all Metro Public Health Department preventative health clinics by appointment. Vaccines are available in our clinics for all those ages six months and older. Vaccines are also available at pop-up community-based vaccination sites around the community for those ages 12 years and older. A full list of events can be found on the Nashville COVID Vaccine Community Sites public calendar.
The vaccine was updated in fall of 2023 to better target currently circulating strains of the virus. All people six months and older are encouraged to consider getting a dose of the newly updated vaccine. Speak to your healthcare provider about it and learn more about vaccine recommendations from the CDC.
Long COVID
Some people continue to experience health problems long after having COVID-19. These ongoing health problems are often called “post-COVID-19 syndrome” or more commonly “Long COVID”. Research is currently being conducted to understand the condition more fully, with more information found at the CDC’s website:

COVID-19 isolation and quarantine guidance
The CDC updates its recommendations for isolation and quarantine regularly.
