On April 19, Mayor Freddie O'Connell unveiled the details of his transportation improvement plan after weeks of gathering input from the public, two citizen advisory committees, and Metro Council. That followed more than 10 years of transportation planning in Nashville that crafted more than 70 community and neighborhood plans.
The plan focuses on four key areas: sidewalks, signals, service, and safety. It improves safety on Nashville's streets for everyone, offers public transportation 24/7/365 for the first time in the city's history, upgrades nearly 600 traffic signals, so Nashvillians spend less time at red lights, and it completes the WalkNBike Nashville priority sidewalk network when combined with annual capital spending.
Mayor O'Connell invites all Nashvillians to interact with the plan below, and as always, we want to hear from you. Email us at [email protected].
