Resolution RS2019-1732

A resolution approving an amendment to a grant from the Annie E. Casey Foundation to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Mayor’s Office, for support to provide a culturally appropriate and significant community engagement plan and strategy for North Nashville’s equitable economic development.

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Mayors’ Office, previously entered into a grant agreement with the Annie E. Casey Foundation, for support to provide a culturally appropriate and significant community engagement plan and strategy for North Nashville’s equitable economic development, approved by RS2018-1084; and,

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the grant as provided in the amendment attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that the amendment to the grant be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the amendment to the grant by and between the Annie E. Casey Foundation and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Mayor’s Office, for support to provide a culturally appropriate and significant community engagement plan and strategy for North Nashville’s equitable economic development, a copy of which the amendment is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
