A Resolution recognizing Zeitlin Sotheby’s International Realty on the occasion of its 40th Anniversary.
WHEREAS, Zeitlin Sotheby’s International Realty will recognize the 40th anniversary of its founding this year; and
WHEREAS, in 1979, Shirley Zeitlin founded Shirley Zeitlin & Company Realtors, the company that would become Zeitlin Sotheby’s International Realty; and
WHEREAS, as Shirley Zeitlin & Company continued to grow, Shirley Zeitlin served as the president of the Nashville Board of Realtors in 1983, was named Realtor of the Year by the Tennessee Association of Realtors in 1987, and served as the first ever female president of the Tennessee Association of Realtors in 1990; and
WHEREAS, Zeitlin Sotheby’s has supported the Nashville community, serving as the official real estate firm of the Nashville Predators from 1998 until 2012 and the Tennessee Titans from 1998 to 2009; and
WHEREAS, Zeitlin Sotheby’s gives back to the community through the Zeitlin Sotheby’s International Realty Charitable Fund, founded in 2002; and
WHEREAS, the firm became Zeitlin & Co., Realtors in 2006 before becoming Zeitlin Sotheby’s International Realty in 2018; and
WHEREAS, in its 40 years in Nashville, the firm has grown to over 150 agents with offices in Belle Meade, Nashville, and Williamson County; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognizes Zeitlin Sotheby’s International Realty on this historic occasion of its 40th anniversary and commend its dedication to Nashville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Metropolitan Council hereby goes on record as recognizing Zeitlin Sotheby’s International Realty on the occasion of its 40th anniversary.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
