April 15, 2013

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

A concerned North Nashville citizen today posted a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of 17-year-old murder suspect Eric L. Goodner.  The citizen, who wishes to remain anonymous, came forward wanting to assist the police department in bringing Goodner to justice.  The $500 is in addition to the reward (up to $1,000) being offered by Nashville Crime Stoppers.

Efforts by officers from a variety of police department components are continuing in their efforts to locate Goodner, who is named in a Juvenile Court petition and arrest order charging criminal homicide for last Thursday morning’s murder of 17-year-old Johnathan Johnson on 10th Avenue North.  Goodner has been entered into the National Crime Information Center database, which would alert any law enforcement agency in the United States coming into contact with him that he is a fugitive from Nashville.

Anyone seeing Goodner or having information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the Emergency Communications Center at 862-8600 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.  Citizens can also send an electronic tip to Crime Stoppers by texting the word “CASH” along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES) or online at www.nashvillecrimestoppers.com.  Persons who contact Crime Stoppers by phone, text or Internet can remain anonymous.
