Precinct-Based Undercover Detectives This Week Charged 116 Persons

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s seven precincts charged 116 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
          
South Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Thompson Lane, 2nd Avenue South, and Colby Drive.  Seized were 42.82 ounces of marijuana, 2.5 grams of cocaine and eight pills.
          
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 11 persons as the result of investigations on Edge O Lake Drive, Dodson Chapel Road, Allen Road, Bell Road, and Lebanon Pike.  Seized were 18 grams of marijuana, 1.9 grams of cocaine, one Cyclobenzaprine pill and nine Soma Pills.          
West Precinct detectives charged 16 persons as the result of investigations on Charlotte Pike, West End Avenue, Tennessee Avenue, and Annex Avenue.  Seized were one gram of marijuana, 176.8 grams of cocaine, 282 pills, one vehicle and $834 cash.
          
North Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations Jefferson Street, Dove Place, 40th Avenue North, Clifton Avenue, Clarksville Pike, Trinity Lane, Buchanan Street, and 16th Avenue North.  Seized were 1.6 grams of crack cocaine and .9 grams of marijuana.
          
Madison Precinct detectives charged 10 persons as the result of investigations on Gallatin Pike, Old Hickory Boulevard, and East Webster Avenue.  Seized were 16 ounces of marijuana.
          
East Precinct detectives charged 25 persons as the result of investigations on Gallatin Pike, Trinity Lane, and Dickerson Pike.  Seized were 11.9 grams of cocaine, 12.5 grams of marijuana, three Dilaudid pills, 90 Lortab pills, two vehicles and $559 cash.
          
Central Precinct detectives charged 19 persons as the result of investigations on Lafayette Street, Drexel Street, and Jefferson Street.  
          
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
