95-Year-Old Pedestrian Very Critically Injured in West Nashville

September 5, 2013

A 95-year-old pedestrian walking on a Harding Pike sidewalk was very critically injured today when she was struck by a Cadillac Escalade pulling out of a bank parking lot.
Elisabeth Neuss, who lives near the crash scene, was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The driver of the Escalade, Richard Regen, Jr., 59, of Nashville, reported that he did not see Neuss prior to the collision, which occurred as he was leaving the US Bank office in the 4200 block of Harding Pike.
The preliminary contributing factor appears to be failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian.  Charges are pending the completion of the investigation.
