Health Department Ends Free Weather Radio Promotion

Metro Public Health Department officials announced today they have reached their goal of giving away 3000 weather radios to Davidson County residents.

Health Officials ended the weather radio give away promotion after a great response from the community over the past day.  It is good to know that 3000 additional homes now have a weather radio, which is just one item within an entire preparedness kit that each family should have and stored in a safe location in the event of an emergency.

Health Officials expect to do a similar campaign in the spring.  More information about a spring weather radio promotion will be released in coming months.
