Detectives Working to Identify Bank Robber who Fired Shot into Ceiling

Metro Police and the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force are working to identify the man who late this afternoon entered Suntrust Bank’s 2509 Murfreesboro Pike branch, fired a single shot into the ceiling, and took cash from a vault.
Just before 4 p.m., the gunman entered the bank, fired the shot, and demanded that he be let into the vault from where he took money and then fled.
The gunman is described as a black man in his 20s to 30s.  He is approximately 5’7” tall with a slim build.  He wore all black clothing and covered his face with black pantyhose.
