Man Indicted in Connection with Fatal Shooting of His Young Son

A father alleged to have fatally wounded his 10-month-old son in March while handling a semi-automatic pistol in their room at an Elm Hill Pike motel has been indicted by the Davidson County Grand Jury on charges of felony reckless endangerment and aggravated child neglect.
Larry Bass, 31, was taken into custody Thursday near Miami, Florida, where he is being held as a fugitive pending extradition proceedings.
Ten-month-old Adam Bass suffered a gunshot wound to his chest on the evening of March 14th. Also present at the time were Larry Bass’ wife and their two other sons, ages 2 and 3. Larry Bass is not alleged to have intentionally shot his child.
Bass was in Nashville at the time working at a construction site.
