August 16, 2014

Officers are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the hit and run driver who struck a pedestrian on West End Avenue near 17th Avenue North at 3 a.m. today.
Matthew Rizor, 34, of Nashville, received life threatening injuries and is being treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Witnesses reported that a black or blue four door sedan, possibly an Infinity, was traveling east on West End Avenue without its headlights activated when it struck Rizor, who was crossing West End from north to south.  Rizor was not using a crosswalk.
Evidence at the scene suggests that the car now has a damaged windshield and headlight.
Anyone with information about the sedan and/or its driver is urged to contact the Emergency Communications Center at 862-8600 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
