The Metro Nashville Arts Commission believes in the power of the arts to produce a more vibrant and equitable community. We strive to ensure that all Nashvillians have access to a creative life through community investments, artist and organizational training, public art, and direct programs that involve residents in all forms of arts and culture.
Under the leadership of the Metro Arts Commission; our new commission chair, Matia Powell, and our new executive director, Daniel Phoenix Singh, we invite you to participate in one of our upcoming community listening sessions. These sessions, facilitated in partnership with Metro’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, will be opportunities to provide input on how we move forward.
Details on each of the listening sessions are linked below.
Listening sessions will be led by two facilitators:
- Andrea Blackman, Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer for the city of Nashville, is responsible for convening, developing, and driving initiatives that build on and advance Nashville’s commitment to equity, inclusion, and anti-racism.
- Tasneem Ansariyah Grace, Vice President of Mosaic Change Makers, is responsible for supporting, growing, and connecting leaders of color within and across communities and sectors in the state of Tennessee.
