The 2021 independent Metro Board of Equalization (MBOE) decision notices for Real and Personal Property appeals that were heard from June 1, 2021 to September 9, 2021 will be mailed Friday, September 17, 2021. The mailing of notices will include all decisions by the independent MBOE Formal Appeals that were heard between June 1, 2021 and September 9, 2021, the independent MBOE Hearing Officers’ appeals, and all Assessor’s recommendations to the independent MBOE. The mail date for appeals hearings decided after September 9, 2021 is to be determined for a later date.
2021 Prorate notices will also be mailed Friday, September 17, 2021.
Notice Decisions Are Available on Website. The results of the appeal decisions heard from June 1, 2021 to September 9, 2021 will also be made available on the Assessor’s website at www.padctn.org by 1) clicking on Real Property Search, 2) then select Simple Search, then 3) search for the property by name of Owner, Address or Map and Parcel.
Only the appeals to the independent MBOE and heard between June 1, 2021 to September 9, 2021 receiving a MBOE decision in accordance with the notice, will give property owners 45 days to appeal to the State Board of Equalization (SBOE) if they disagree with the independent MBOE decision. Failure to schedule an appeal of the assessment to the independent SBOE by the notice deadline may result in the assessment becoming final without further right of appeal until the following year.
Property owners who did not appeal their value of the revenue-neutral Reappraisal 2021, can calculate potential 2021 tax payments by visiting the Assessor of Property’s website at www.padctn.org, select Services, then select Tax Calculator.
