The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) Crime Laboratory is a 47,000-square-foot facility located above the Madison Police Precinct at 400 Myatt Drive in Madison, TN. Construction of the Crime Laboratory was completed in 2014, which established Nashville’s first full-service Crime Lab. The lab began accepting cases in May 2015, and is accredited by ANAB meeting the requirements of ISO/IEC17025:2017, AR 3125:2023 and FBI Quality Assurance standards.
The MNPD Crime Laboratory provides testing services in six forensic disciplines: Forensic Biology, Firearm and Toolmark Identification, Latent Fingerprints, Tenprint, Toxicology, and Drug Identification. We are committed to providing reliable, accurate and unbiased forensic science laboratory services to the MNPD and associated criminal justice system customers in the Metropolitan Nashville area.
