The Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT) maintains over 2,200 miles of right-of-way and and manages activities associated with public development and use of the City's right-of-way. The Metro right-of-way is an area of land owned or controlled by the city for the purposes of constructing, operating, and maintaining public facilities such as streets, alleys, sidewalks, and bike paths for the needs of transportation and other public infrastructure.
Brush and Yard Waste Collection
Residential brush collection is available to single-family homes in Metro Nashville’s Urban and General Services District. Brush pickup circles through the city four times a year on a rotation schedule along 12 routes.

Snow removal in Metro Nashville’s Urban and General Services District is prioritized by using the primary and secondary snow routes list. Once primary and secondary roads are cleared, crews respond to requests in the order they are received.
