The Public Health and Safety Committee will be holding a special called meeting on Nashville's opioid crisis. This meeting will be a follow-up to the session from March 10, 2022.
I hope you will join us to hear from:
- A representative from Metro Health with an update on drug overdose statistics in Davidson County
- Sgt. Michael Hotz of MNPD's Special Investigations Division, a unit whose primary focus is to investigate drug overdose deaths
- Tanja Jacobs, Mom of Romello Marchman, a 22-year-old Nashville man who died from fentanyl poisoning
- Mary Linden Salter, Executive Director of the Tennessee Association of Alcohol, Drug and Other Addition Services (TAADAS) who will share a state legislative update and how those changes could impact Nashville
