The Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Study and Formulating Committee was established by Ordinance No. BL2018-1315 and studied how the Metropolitan Government utilizes tax increment financing and to formulate recommendations for its implementation in a more transparent, equitable, effective, and understandable manner. The committee released its final report and recommendations on May 7, 2019.
The Chair of the former committee, Councilmember Bob Mendes, will host a meeting with representatives from the Metro Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) Board to discuss their report on the impact of Tax Increment Financing and priorities for redevelopment districts.
