Nashville District Energy System Team

Adrienne Fancher is the Metro Liaison for the Metro Nashville District Energy System (MNDES). Ms. Fancher works with the MNDES operating contractor and project administration consultant to provide system customers with the services they need. She helps manage the accounting process, provides liaison services for Metro Departments, and works with system expansion projects as new buildings are brought into the MNDES.

Thermal Engineering Group is a Consulting Engineering organization established to provide technical support to the District Heating and Cooling, Waste-to-Energy and Co-generation markets. The company’s primary goal is to serve clients by performing those services necessary to develop, design, operate and maintain facilities relating to this industry in the most technically efficient and cost-effective manner. Progress and growth within the industry shall be pursued through innovation.

Thermal Engineering Group also provides certain marketing services to DES including updates to the website on nashville.gov and nashvilledistrictenergy.com

Mike Winters is the General Manager for Constellation Energy Services which has served as the contract operator of the Metro Nashville District Energy System (MNDES) since 2003. Mike has a Mechanical Engineering degree and most recently served in a Product Management role at an international electrical industry equipment manufacturer in their Electrical Distribution Services Business.

As the system operator of the MNDES, Mike and the Constellation team are responsible for the long-term operations and maintenance of both the energy generating facility and energy distribution system. The Constellation scope also includes billing administration and emergency and on demand support for MNDES chilled water and steam service customers.
