The Metropolitan Action Commission receives funding through various grants for income eligible residents of Davidson County. In addition to being a resident of Davidson County, your household income must not be above the income limit set by our funder.
Below you will find the income limits based on your household size that will determine if you are income eligible. If you live in Davidson County and your income is not above the income limit, your application will be considered for assistance. All income of residents above 18 years old are considered in the total household income and must be reported.
Utility Payment Assistance program (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program and Low-Income Water Assistance Program) and Summer Cooling Program (Air Conditioners)
This program assists with payments for natural gas, electricity, coal, propane, and other energy sources used to heat and/or cool your home as well as assistance with water and sewer payments. The program also provides air conditioners and/or fans for residents with disabled, elderly or young children or adults with medical conditions.

Rent and Mortgage, Property Tax (must be 62 years and above), Medication and Medical Supplies Assistance and Adult Education Program
This program assists with payments rental and mortgage payments. This program also assists with payments for property taxes for resident homeowners aged 62 and above, prescription medication including dietary supplements and medical supplies.
