While teaching young children about financial literacy, we are honored to have volunteered during Napier's 2021-2022 school year and would not miss the opportunity to kick off the 2022-2023 school year with a back-to-school bash.
We are excited to participate in the back-to-school bash at Napier Elementary with a $3,000 check for 30 students to open savings accounts who participated in the JA program. By providing financial education at a young age, it improves the upward trajectory of our youth and aids them in making informed financial decisions.
William Frye, VP of Marketing Cornerstone Financial, stated, "Cornerstone Financial Credit Union is pleased to participate in this wonderful event. For 12 years, we have donated more than $300,000 in scholarships to high school seniors, so when given the opportunity to help the young students at Napier Elementary School learn about saving money, we were as excited as they were."
Junior Achievement Rachel Dyer, Senior Director of Operations & Programs, stated, "Junior Achievement partners with schools like Napier to ensure that students have equitable access to financial education. JA programs are especially beneficial, as we give students the life skills they need to succeed."
The Office of the Metropolitan Trustee, Cornerstone Financial Credit Union, and Junior Achievement partnered with Napier Elementary to teach financial literacy to Napier students. Upon the completion of the program, students not only learned about the principles of financial literacy but earned money to open a savings account.
