The Office of the Metropolitan Trustee has learned that members of our staff may have been exposed to COVID-19 virus as a result of an employee that tested positive for the virus. The employee is currently at their home, where they are in isolation and recovering.
"We are in close contact with the Metro Public Health Department and are following their infectious disease response protocols. As a matter of precaution, we recommend anyone who visited the Office of the Metropolitan Trustee the week of Monday, October 12, 2020, monitor your health for symptoms of COVID-19 and contact your medical provider should you become symptomatic," stated Erica S. Gilmore, Nashville, and Davidson County Metropolitan Trustee.
On the recommendation of the Metropolitan Health Department and in coordination with Metro General Services, the Office of the Metropolitan Trustee's Office will close its office, located on the Richard H. Fulton Campus in the Howard Office Building on Monday, October 19, 2020, in order to disinfect and sterilize the premises following our established protocols and CDC guidelines to mitigate the spread of the virus.
The health and well-being of the taxpayers and our employees is our top priority. Our employees and their co-workers who were exposed have been placed under quarantine consistent with CDC guidelines.
