GED/HiSet Orientation, Classes and Examination
Classes are provided for adults ages 18 years old or older (or 17 years old with high school waiver) in preparation for the GED/HiSet exam. Graduates of the program participate in a “cap and gown” graduation ceremony acknowledging the official completion of the program.
Orientation is held every Wednesday of the month from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Goodwill Lifesey Center, 615-742-4151.
Due to COVID, classes are currently held virtually using an online study program as well as textbooks provided by our program. Each student is assigned to an instructor. Students who attend regularly are eligible to receive bus passes or transportation support and weekly stipends. The cost of the GED/HiSet exam is covered by the agency.
College Prep Course
Graduates of the adult education program are eligible to participate in the agency’s College Prep Program, which provides college admission support, covers the cost of college application fees and a portion of book expenses.
