The Davidson County Clerk and Trustee’s main offices will close Friday, August 4 in anticipation of road closures associated with The Big Machine Music City Grand Prix. Closures include, but are not limited to Peabody Street and part of Hermitage Ave, greatly limiting staff and customers’ ability to access the downtown location.
Recognizing the inconvenience this may cause, both offices will offer extended hours of operation Monday, July 31-Thursday, August 3, 7:00 a.m.-5:20 p.m. leading up to the closure. Whereas the office will not be open, all calls coming into the Trustee’s office will continue being answered during regular business hours from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Taxpayers can still pay their property taxes using alternative methods by phone, at 615-862-6330, online at Nashville.gov/Trustee, by mail to P.O. Box 196358, Nashville, TN 37219, and the drop box.
Please note no cash payments, only checks or money orders can be accepted in the drop box, and First Horizon Bank.
Motor vehicle title and registration services will be available at all branch locations where operating hours will remain unchanged. Your patience is appreciated as delays and extended wait times can be expected.
For those needing marriage licenses, we recommend coming into our main office during any of the extended hours or visiting one of the clerk’s offices in any of our surrounding counties. Dealer work and noting of liens may be deposited in the drop-box in the lobby of the main branch. Business license and notary services will be unavailable Friday, August 4.
