The Grants Division of the Finance Department carries out two functions:
- Coordinates the processing of grants from outside grantors to Metro government. Many grants are designed to promote innovations, provide enhanced services, and professional development within government.
- Manages contracting processes generally made by Metro government through Direct Appropriations to local non-profit organizations.
The Community Enhancement Fund (CEF), previously managed by the Grants Section was converted to Community Partnership Fund (CPF) in 2018. The Grants section does not manage Metro Nashville awards to Non-for-profit Organizations through the Community Partnership Fund. The Community Partnership Fund program is managed by other departments. (See link below)
