The Metropolitan Action Commission will return to the office using a phased in service delivery beginning on Monday (January 24). The agency has been impacted heavily by staff shortages due to COVID-19 for the past two weeks.
The customer lobby is not expected to reopen for in-person service until next week, however customers will still be able to drop off of documents for existing and new applications for assistance at the agency’s main office using the on-site drop box.
The Head Start and Early Head Start programs will reopen on Tuesday, January 25 with limited access by parents to early education classrooms.
The following are the details of service and program delivery this week:
- Customers may continue to provide documents for rental, utility, mortgage and any other payment assistance program at the agency drop box located at the main location (800 2nd Avenue North) daily from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
- The HOPE call center is open Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. at 615-862-RENT (7368). To access the HOPE portal for new applications or to upload HOPE documents visit hope.nashville.gov.
- All Head Start and Early Head Start pre-school programs including extended care and transportation will resume on Tuesday.
- Adult Education Classes and Workforce Development training will resume as scheduled.
