Due to the rapid increase of COVID-19 cases in Davidson County and its direct impact on the Metropolitan Action Commission’s ability to provide in person services due to team member shortages, all programs and services will shift to remote service delivery starting Monday, January 10.
The following are the details of service and program delivery during the remote scheduling:
- Customers may continue to provide documents for rental, utility, mortgage and any other payment assistance program (including the HOPE program) to [email protected] or using the agency drop box located at the main location (800 2nd Avenue North). Please note that new HOPE applicants will be able to apply after January 18, 2022.
- All Metro Action phone lines will be answered remotely during operational hours This includes the agency’s main phone line (615-862-8860), the HOPE rental assistance program ( 615-862-7368) and the Head Start/Early Head Start preschool centers.
- All Head Start and Early Head Start pre-school programs will shift to virtual learning. Families will be contacted regarding how to access Virtual learning opportunities for their children.
- Adult Education Classes and Workforce Development training will take place virtually.
Metro Action will re-open on Tuesday, January 18, following the holiday observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
“During this time, the increased air flow circulation will be maximized due to team members working remotely and the thorough sanitizing at all 9 of our locations as an added preventative measure,” said Cynthia Croom, Executive Director of Metro Action.
All other program inquiries can be made by calling MAC’s main phone line of 615-862-8860 and be transferred to any program offered by the agency. Customers may also connect with the agency via email at [email protected] or through our social media platforms.
