The Metropolitan Action Commission has space available for new teachers and new children in its early childhood education program, Head Start.
The agency will host a hiring and recruitment event on Saturday, August 19 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at two Metro Action locations, Susan Gray Head Start Center (445 Cotton Lane, Nashville 37211) and Frederick Douglass Head Start and Early Head Start Center (621 Howerton Street, Nashville 37206).
Although the 2023-24 school year began earlier this week, the agency is still in need of full time teachers and assistant teachers and part-time extended care teachers. Hiring managers will be onsite to interview potential applicants and hire successful candidates at this event.
The Head Start program provides early childhood education for children ages 3-5 years old at no cost to parents. The agency has space available at all of its seven locations. The program also provides bus transportation, health and education screenings and other comprehensive supports for children.
The Metro Action website has a complete listing of all available positions as well as the locations of all of its Early Head Start and Head Start Centers. Go to www.nashville.gov/mac or call 615-862-8860 ext 70140.
