SUBJECT: PROCUREMENT APPEALS BOARD
I, Bill Purcell, Mayor of the Metropolitan Government Of Nashville and Davidson County, by virtue of the power and authority vested in me, do hereby direct and order that:
1. The Procurement Appeals Board, established in the 1992 Procurement Code as codified in the Metropolitan Code of Laws shall be composed of three (3) members including the chairperson who shall be the Director of Finance. The Mayor shall appoint the remaining two members when an appeal is filed pursuant to either M.C.L. §4.3 6. 0 1 O(E) or M.C.L. §4.3 6.020(E). The two members appointed may be directors, department heads, or other officials of Metropolitan Government in similar positions as determined by the Mayor.
2. Except for the chairperson, the appointed members shall serve until the resolution the appeal.
3. Pursuant to M.C.L. §4,36.080, the Procurement Appeals Board shall adopt rules of procedure that, to the fullest extent possible, will provide for the expeditious resolution of controversies.
