Executive Order 42
Subject: Designation of a Portion of the Historic Courthouse Parking Garage Corridor as a Commemorative Space for Metropolitan Council Members’ Signatures and Notations
WHEREAS, members of the Metropolitan County Council serve with distinction and dedication for the benefit of all Nashvillians; and
WHEREAS, in commemoration of their service to the people of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, it is fitting and proper that prior to the end of each Council term, members of the Metropolitan County Council be permitted to affix their signature and other notation to a specially designated commemorative space within the Historic Courthouse Parking Garage Corridor.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Freddie O’Connell, Mayor of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by virtue of the power and authority vested in me, do hereby find, direct, and order the following:
- A portion of the Historic Courthouse Parking Garage Corridor is hereby designated as a “commemorative space”, to be maintained as such by the Metropolitan General Services Department.
- Members of the Metropolitan County Council shall be authorized and permitted to affix their signatures and other notations within the designated commemorative space during the month of August of the end of the Council term.
