Metro Social Services was impacted by the tornado and unfortunately, we were not able to get into our building until March 19. We truly appreciate the patience of the customers as we reopen our doors on Friday March 20, 2020. Now with the COVID-19 virus we are abbreviating our hours for walk-in customers effective March 20, 2020 to 9 a.m.-1 p.m. until further notice. At Metro Social Services, health and safety are our top priorities for our staff and our customers.
If you are in need of information on the tornado relief effort or you need assistance with tornado relief we have Metro Social Services staff located in the following locations:
- Hermitage/Donelson: Hermitage Community Center; 3720 James Kay Lane, Hermitage, 37076.
- NorthNashville/Germantown: Hadley Park Community Center; 37208.
- EastNashville: East Park Community Center; 600 Woodland Street, Nashville, 37206.
We understand access to Metro Social Services is important. If it is not an emergency, we encourage you to call 615-862-6432 and we could possibly provide services over the phone instead of in person.
We realize that the public is concerned about the spread of the virus. We have taken measures to routinely clean our lobby and work surfaces to protect the health of our customers and staff. If you choose to come into the office, please do not be offended if we ask you to possibly wear a mask and use hand sanitizer that is provided by Metro Social Services. Our staff may also wear masks and gloves to protect themselves.
Metro Social Services ask that you continue to be patient with us as we continue to practice universal precautions and social distancing which is recommended by the Centers for Disease Control.
Please check the Social Services webpage, Facebook and Twitter for weekly updates.
