The Office of Homeless Services spearheads Nashville’s efforts to end homelessness. We manage the Homelessness Management Information System (HMIS), foster collaborative connections among stakeholders, create funding opportunities, and serve as asset managers.

Our Department
The Office of Homeless Services comprises six dedicated teams that support direct service providers and bridge the gap between our unhoused neighbors and the services they need. Our teams include:
- Outreach: Engaging with and assisting those experiencing homelessness.
- Emergency Services: Providing immediate support and resources.
- Coordinated Entry: Streamlining access to housing and services.
- Homelessness Management Information System (HMIS): Managing data to inform decisions.
- Landlord Engagement: Building partnerships with property owners to increase housing options.
- Planning and Research: Developing strategies and analyzing data to improve outcomes.
