Pursuant to recommendations from federal, state, and local health agencies, the Codes Department will begin taking appointments to see a zoning examiner effective Monday, March 16, 2020. At this point, we will continue to see walk-in customers and will continue to accommodate applications on storm-related properties as expeditiously as possible.
Although appointments are not currently required, they are encouraged in order to minimize the number of people in the Development Services Center. Appointments can be made by calling 615-862-7100, ext. 27100, or by emailing [email protected]. Please be sure to provide your name, phone number, email address, property address, and a three-hour window for your preferred appointment time. Please also confirm whether the project is commercial or residential. Once an appointment has been scheduled you will be emailed a confirmation.
Additionally, many permitting and plan review processes are available online, and we encourage you to take advantage of this option. Instructions related to electronic submittals can be found on the following websites:
- Water Services Information for Developers
- Codes Administration - Construction and Permits
- Fire Marshal Office
- Planning - Land Development
Thank you for your help and patience in our efforts to promote public health.
