Sample ballots for the November 8 State and Federal General Election are in the mail and should arrive in voters’ hands well before the start of Early Voting. With more time to study and a shorter ballot to consider, election officials urge voters to prepare now and plan to vote in the upcoming election.
“Voters can anticipate 4-5 races on their ballot, along with 4 Constitutional Amendments to consider,” said Jeff Roberts, Davidson County Administrator of Elections. “With fewer candidate names to review and a more manageable ballot size compared to the August election, we hope all voters will study their sample ballot and plan a convenient time to vote.”
“We are fortunate to have an extra Early Voting location available for this election and encourage voters across the county to avoid Election Day lines and vote during the 2-week period,” added Roberts. “East Nashvillians will be pleased to know the Margaret Maddox East YMCA will be hosting Early Voting again.”
Early Voting begins Wednesday, October 19 at the Howard Office Building downtown. Neighborhood locations will open Tuesday, October 25. Voters may choose the most convenient date, time, location from the schedule - including two Saturdays – and avoid potential Election Day crowds. All Early Voting locations open at 8 a.m. daily. Mondays and Fridays, they are open until 5:30 p.m. Tuesday/Thursday hours extend to 7 p.m. with Wednesday/Saturday hours until 4:30 p.m. Sites are closed on Sunday.
