These special advisory committees supplement the work of the Mayor’s Office and report to Mayor Freddie O’Connell.

Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities
The purpose of the Committee will be to promote public education and awareness of the contributions, potentials, and needs of individuals with disabilities.

Community Behavioral Health and Wellness Advisory Council
The Advisory Council shall serve in an advisory capacity to the Mayor and has an interest in protecting, promoting, and sustaining the behavioral health and well-being of all people.

Mayor's Youth Council
The Council was established to formalize and foster a working partnership between the administration of the Metropolitan Government and the young people of our community.

Children’s Memory Garden of Nashville Committee
The Committee was established to create policies and guidelines to support the Children’s Memory Garden (CMG).

District Energy System Advisory Board
The Advisory Board was established to evaluate the District Energy System and make reports and recommendations to the Mayor.

Nashville Health and Well-being Leadership Council
This Council will serve to improve the health and the economic and social well-being of its residents and establish strategic priorities for community health improvement.

Minority Business Advisory Council
The purpose of the Council will be to promote programs and advance policies that close the gap in opportunities, assets, and wealth for minority-owned businesses.

Nashville Council on Gender Equity
The purpose of the Council is to assess identified issues of gender inequity and develop recommended solutions to be presented to the Mayor that reflects the needs of all people of any sex and gender.

Ending the HIV Epidemic Advisory Council
The purpose of the Council is to guide the implementation of the Ending the Epidemic Plan for Nashville.

Nashville Regional HIV Planning Council
Created to meet the requirements of the Ryan White grant with the goal of preventing new HIV infections in our community, assuring positive health outcomes for residents living with HIV.

Advisory Committee on Transportation
This Committee will review the implementation work performed, provide feedback, and make reports and recommendations to the Mayor regarding the Choose How You Move Transportation Improvement Program.
