Mayor John Cooper announced the #NashvilleStrongStory Campaign to highlight and promote the positive response of Nashville’s residents following the March 3 tornado and Metro’s citywide coronavirus (COVID-19) challenges.
Mayor Cooper has asked residents to share their own stories by using the hashtag #NashvilleStrongStory on social media. Nashvillians are also invited to visit Metro’s COVID-19 response website, covid19.nashville.gov, to learn about more ways to help fellow community members during this crisis.
There are many ways to contribute. Metro’s Office of Emergency Management is asking community members, including local businesses and individuals, to donate new and unused medical and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to help protect non-medical professionals and city workers involved in the city’s response. In addition, the United Way of Greater Nashville has launched the COVID-19 Response Fund to address the health and economic challenges of the virus.
