Mayor Freddie O’Connell today shared his appreciation to the Metro Council upon passage of his administration’s first Capital Spending Plan.
“I'm delighted that the Metro Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve my administration's first Capital Spending Plan which invests $514 million into neighborhoods in all corners of Davidson County. This plan was created with fiscal responsibility at its core and ensures no new pressure on debt as a share of our operating costs.
“By prioritizing schools, transportation infrastructure, WeGo public transit service, maintenance in parks and libraries, and customer service we are delivering on the priorities identified by the community and their council representatives. We are investing in our most important asset - our people - and I'm proud to take this important step toward making our shared goals a reality.”
