Below, you may explore the project proposals up for vote on this year’s ballot. Nashville has set aside $10 million to fund publicly selected projects that will benefit the entire region.
To qualify for consideration, a project must meet specific criteria:
- It must meet requirements of the American Rescue Plan, as well as federal, state and city regulations.
- It must be located within Nashville.
- It should be completable by December 2026.
- It should provide a broad benefit to the public.
The process for this year’s inaugural citywide participatory budgeting began with residents from across Nashville submitting ideas for projects. After months of collaboration between Nashville residents, Participatory Budgeting subcommittees and delegates, and Metro staff, it’s now time for you to cast your vote!
Online voting will be open from October 1 to November 30, and results will be announced in December. The funding allocation for a selected project will depend on the Social Vulnerability Index (SVI) score of the area where it is located and on the number of votes it receives. Projects with the most votes will receive funding up to the following limits: up to $1 million per project for Social Vulnerability Index 4, $1.5 million for Social Vulnerability Index 3, $2.8 million for Social Vulnerability Index 2, or $4 million for Social Vulnerability Index 1.
Please note that in order to cast your vote, you must be a resident of Nashville and be at least 14 years old.
We appreciate your active participation in this process, as it empowers residents like you to have a greater say in neighborhood decision-making. For more information about each project, click on its description to go to the project page.
