Recovery efforts continue after deadly tornado on Tuesday morning.
Metro’s Office of Emergency Management’s Emergency Operation Center remains partially activated as multiple agencies work to assess the damage left behind by Tuesday’s deadly tornado.
Two people were killed during the storm Tuesday. According to Metro Nashville Police, Michael Dolfini, 36, & his girlfriend, Albree Sexton, 33 were fatally injured by debris as they left Attaboy lounge located on McFerrin Avenue.
NFD has transported more than 150 people to area hospitals.
Urban Search and Rescue teams with the Nashville Fire Department and MNPD went through impacted neighborhoods in East Nashville and Hermitage to search for trapped people.
There have been no further people found trapped.
By Tuesday afternoon more than 42,000 NES customers remained without power. Crews from NES continue to work to restore power. NES has several hundred contract crews traveling to Davidson County to help to continue to restore power to impacted customers.
Piedmont Natural Gas continues to respond to reported natural gas leaks and residents needing their natural gas service disconnected.

Water quality and service to Metro Water Services customers is not affected even though several MWS facilities are without power and operating on generators. Please report any water or sewer emergencies to 615-862-4600; Option 3.
The American Red Cross has opened two shelters and designated another to open at 7:00pm once election polls close.
Pets are allowed at the two shelters located at Metro Park facilities. Kennels and food will be provided for pets. Pets must stay with their owners.

You can list yourself in a shelter and search for loved ones who may have registered at a Red Cross Shelter.
Metro Nashville Public Schools will remain closed on Wednesday. MNPS will be reaching out to employees for further instructions.
The public should continue to monitor local media and verified social media accounts for updates about government offices and the courts for Wednesday.
