Melissa Sajid joined the Metropolitan Historic Zoning Commission staff as a Historic Preservationist 1 in 2015. Before joining our staff, she worked as a Planner with the Town of Smyrna where she served as the primary staff for the Board of Zoning Appeals and the Historic Zoning Commission. More recently Melissa has served as Zoning Official/Project Coordinator for the City of Hampton, VA and as Planner 2 for Metro Planning Department’s Land Development Division. Melissa Sajid holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Urban Planning, both from the University of Louisville.
