Tim Walker has been the Executive Director of the department since 2009. He began his career in the office in 1996 as a Historic Preservationist 1 and later served as the Historic Zoning Administrator. Prior to joining the office, he worked as an intern at two local architectural firms. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and a Master of Public Service Management from Cumberland University.
