The Metro Human Relations Commission convenes the full Board of Commissioners, Executive Board, Standing Committees and ad hoc committees on a monthly basis.
All meetings are open to the public, free of charge, and governed under standard parliamentary procedure.
Human Relations Commissions Meetings Listing
All committee meetings begin at 3:00 p.m. and full board meetings begin at 4:00 p.m., and take place in the Davidson Room of the Metro Office Building, unless otherwise indicated.
Special Needs Accommodations
Individuals who need accommodations or auxiliary aids for effective communication in the programs, services, or activities of the Human Relations Commission are invited to make their needs and preferences known to our office, at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled program, service or meeting by calling 615-880-3370, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Appeal of Decisions From the Metro Human Relations Commission
If you are not satisfied with a decision of the Metropolitan Human Relations Commission, you may appeal the decision by petitioning for a writ of certiorari with the Davidson county Chancery or Circuit Court. Your appeal must be filed within 60 days of the date of the entry of the Human Relations Commission’s decision. We advise that you seek your own independent legal advice to ensure that your appeal is filed in a timely manner and that all procedural requirements have been met.
